What is Dressage?

Dressage is about showing the judge that you can get your pony to do what you want him to do, when you want him to do it.

You and your pony have to follow a set of instructions laid out in the dressage test.

A judge marks the test. They give you a mark out of ten for how well you carry out each instruction. At the end of the test the marks are added up and the winner is the horse and rider with the highest score.

CROSS-COUNTRY

Cross-Country

Cross country is designed to test the horse and rider’s ability over a variety of fixed fences and undulating ground, it should also demonstrate the rider’s knowledge of pace and the use of his horse across country.

Cross-Country Training

Our Pony Club is very fortunate to have their own cross country course in Arundel Park for year round training.

We also visit many other cross-country courses throughout the South East as part of training.
